Several years ago I put forth the idea of writing a police book and asked for some contributions. I got little response - to my disappointment. So, I wrote a book of my own stories instead. Thus far, my little book has done well, but I feel there are many great stories left to tell.

Here I offer my pitch again:
To the cops of the lowcountry - I offer this proposal : I will serve as a ghost writer of sorts, an editor and compiler of real police sories for those who wish to contribute. Legal wranglings are such that I cannot offer monetary compensation, but I will name you as a contributor with full accolades in the book's preface.

I appeal mainly to those officers of old, but everyone is welcomed to contribute. I know that all cops have some amazing stories - I offer here the chance to tell them to posterity.

I will not entertain the idea of a "whistle blowing" type book (I am still an active cop) so can those stories.

If interested, contact me via e-mail  wordsmith88@live.com , telephone 843-647-2047 or through channels at the Charleston County Sheriff's office.

I hope I can get this book off the ground. I'll do the work, just need the meat. I'd be happy to sit and listen to the "old timers" who paved the way for us current lowcountry cops.

In open publication respectfully,

R.E. (Reggie) Sharpe

I wish you luck.  I was still green to not have any stories for you.  But I would to take a look at your first book.  It's offered on this website only, right?

If you were accused of being a Marine, would you be guilty?

Dang Yankee,

You can purchase through this venue, Amazon.com, most book chains, and in every English speaking country. Several colleges also stock the book for courses including Trident Tech here in Charleston.
You'll have plenty of your own stories soon enough. All you gotta do is show up for work and believe me they'll come.

Be safe,

Reggie
